Beyond Digital Photography

Beyond Digital Photography; Transforming Photos into Fine Art with Photoshop and Painter was written in tandem with Cher Threinen-Pendarvis, the author of the acclaimed series, "The Painter WOW! Book. In our book we focus upon the many different techniques we've developed and use everyday in our own professional lives.

Eight chapters cover many different digital painting techniques from start to finish,carefully documenting how to progress from the original shot to the final digital work. It is not a beginner's book, to be certain, and requires at least a moderate understanding of how to navigate Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop.

Written over a two year period, we carefully selected processes that didn't require perfect photographs or the latest editions of software to accomplish any piece. While Cher tended to major on Painter tools and techniques I chose to work exclusively in Photoshop, knowing many photographers did not own Painter licenses and were not likely to be as proficient in the program.
