The Photoshop WOW! Book series is one of the most influential design publications over the past twenty years. This cover marked the first time Jack Davis, one of the original authors, did not design the cover. Jack Davis is one of my "heroes" and his techniques and writing were quite influential in my early design career, so it was a considerable honor to find myself designing this important cover for Peachpit Press.
I really enjoy book cover design because people respond to my covers. And they really DO judge books by their covers, a strong argument for changing how publishers traditionally budget and plan them. (Plus it is also fun to go onto Amazon and have several covers I've done pop up on the first page!)
