This work is featured in Joseph Valven and JD Jarvis' book "Going Digital" as an example of how digital painting is created stroke-by-stroke in an electronic environment instead of a traditional art studio (the other half of my studio!).
It is called "Out of the Box" for a multitude of reasons. Beyond the obvious interpretation of what makes the ideal model of beauty (the tattoo is genuine) I wanted to challenge the traditional art "purists" who reject digital art as a legitimate medium. My conviction is those people will become as outdated as those who rejected Picasso, Matisse, Monet and even more recent artists as Andy Warhol, Peter Max and other contemporary geniuses.
